LiftWerx is pleased to announce that production has commenced on its newest RotorHook™ crane. Rated at a lifting capacity of 75 tonnes (165,000 lbs), this device will be the most powerful and capable up-tower crane in the world. Delivery is scheduled for April 2021.
This next-generation RotorHook™ crane will have the ability to lift and lower rotors on all General Electric 1.X turbine models. LiftWerx will expand this capability in the near future to also perform repairs on GE 2.X models.
A RotorHook™ crane can be assembled in many different configurations, large or small, depending on the type of repair. The following repairs are possible on this new machine:
– full drivetrain exchanges (gearbox and main shaft)
– fixed-rotor gearbox exchanges
– main shaft / main bearing exchanges
– single blade exchanges
– blade bearing exchanges
– generator exchanges
– LSS, HSIS, and HSS exchanges
– yaw drive exchanges
