JOB TITLE:

Continuous Improvement Black Belt (full-time)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

LiftWerx is seeking a Continuous Improvement Black Belt  to drive operational excellence within it’s operations activities. This individual will lead cross-functional improvement initiatives that enhance field team productivity, reduce turnaround time for major component exchanges, and eliminate operational waste while ensuring safety, efficiency, and consistent quality across all field operations.  

The role blends strategic process improvement with hands-on project execution, applying Lean and Six Sigma principles to both internal workflows and vendor operations. The successful candidate will also play a critical role in developing Lean capability across the organization, coaching Yellow and Green Belt candidates, and embedding continuous improvement practices into the LiftWerx culture. 

LOCATION:

This is an on-site position, based out of our Cambridge, ON office. Willingness to travel (approximately 25–40%) to field sites and vendor locations is required. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead continuous improvement and Lean transformation projects focused on increasing field productivity and reducing downtime during major component exchanges.  
  • Conduct time studies, root cause analyses, and value stream mapping to identify and eliminate waste in operational processes.  
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to identify process gaps and implement sustainable solutions.  
  • Conduct root cause analyses of reocurring failures or inefficiencies, and develop corrective action plans to address them.  
  • Collaborate with field leadership to standardize best practices across sites, ensuring consistent service delivery and efficiency.  
  • Audit external fabricators and key suppliers to ensure compliance with LiftWerx quality, delivery, and continuous improvement standards.  
  • Support the development and maintenance of operational KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards for field productivity and turnaround performance.  
  • Manage projects through the full lifecycle — from charter and stakeholder alignment to execution, control, and closure — applying PMP-standard methodology.  
  • Develop and deliver Lean and Six Sigma training, supporting certification of internal team members at Yellow and Green Belt levels.  
  • Partner with the Quality and Engineering teams to drive root cause elimination and corrective/preventive actions on recurring issues.  
  • Support various teams, in developing and deploying standard work, 5S programs, and visual management systems across operations.  
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and lead cross-functional workshops that foster collaboration and data-driven problem solving.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

Education 

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (ASQ or equivalent).  
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.   

Experience 

  • 8+ years of experience in operations, quality, or continuous improvement within manufacturing or field service environments.  
  • Experience developing standard work and process improvement initiatives, ideally in the wind turbine, renewable energy , or heavy equipment repair sectors. 
  • Proven experience leading Lean and Six Sigma projects delivering measurable operational gains.  

Knowledge/Skills 

  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Power BI, and other data visualization tools.  
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.

Director of Facilities (full-time)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Director of Facilities will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and operation of all company facilities. This includes ensuring that the facilities are safe, functional, and meet the needs of the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Education

We are looking for a 310T Apprentice Technician (1st or 2nd Year) to join our team starting January 2026. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn and gain hands-on experience working with heavy trucks and equipment in a professional, safety-focused environment. Experience or exposure to Liebherr mobile cranes is considered an asset, but not required. You will work alongside experienced licensed technicians and be given the opportunity to build your skills and grow within the trade.

LOCATION:

This position is based out of our Cambridge, ON office from Monday – Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with inspections, maintenance, and repairs on trucks and heavy equipment.

  • Develop and deliver technical training programs and workshops on wind turbine major corrective repairs.

This is a traveling position.  The successful candidate(s) will travel extensively to worksites across the USA and Canada.  Candidates can be based in either Canada or the continental USA, preferably close to a major airport.

POSITION OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Crane Operator is a field-based, customer-facing role that performs large corrective repairs on wind turbines. This includes the complete replacement of wind turbine gearboxes, main shafts, generators, and blade bearings.  The Crane Operator will operate telescopic cranes, mainly during wind turbine repairs which involve lifting wind turbine blades, rotors, and generators.  Driving cranes and tractor-trailers between jobs sites is required.  The successful candidate will also be required to perform standard rigging operations, tag lining, and ground work.  The Crane Operator will establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.

This position reports to the Project Manager, with daily project reporting to the Major Corrective Supervisor.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • 5-15 years of field service experience is required. Previous experience performing crane lifts on wind turbines will be a tremendous asset.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • American applicants will require an NCCO hoisting license for mobile all-terrain or truck cranes.
  • Canadian applicants will require a 339A hoisting license, based in Ontario.
  • All applicants must have a commercial driver’s license (CDL, Class 1, or AZ).
  • Must be mechanically-inclined, with a solid knowledge of rigging activities, and an ability to troubleshoot in the field.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
  • Must be able to work both individually and in an established team setting.
  • Willing to work different shifts as business needs dictate, including willingness to work long shifts as required.

This position reports to the Project Manager, with daily project reporting to the Major Corrective Supervisor.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • 2-5 years of field service experience is required. Previous experience performing operations, maintenance, or corrective repairs on Siemens, General Electric, or Vestas turbines will be a tremendous asset.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A Liftra CO1+ crane operator’s certificate is valued but it is not necessary.
  • Must be proficient in the use of tools and specialized equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required. A commercial truck driver’s license will be an asset, although not absolutely required.
  • Must be able to work both individually and in an established team setting.
  • Willing to work different shifts as business needs dictate, including willingness to work long shifts as required.
  • Ability to travel and provide service across North America; willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training and certification.

This person will be responsible for driving our highly-specialized equipment to site, setting up the work site, assisting in all rigging activities, and providing ground support for major component replacements. The successful candidate will establish and maintain positive business relationships with customers and peers, as well as diligently performing necessary administrative duties.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • 2-5 years of driving and/or rigging experience is preferred.
