Warehouse Coordinator (full-time)

Location:

This position is based at our facilities in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Coordinator is a shop-based role that is responsible for supporting other departments and teams, by fulfilling inventory requests, preparing items for distribution or use, and ensuring that equipment remains in good working order in accordance with industry standards.
The Warehouse Coordinator will apply their experience Responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, verifying against purchase orders and packing slips. The Warehouse Coordinator will also be responsible for optimizing the warehouse layout and processes to improve storage, accessibility, and workflow. This position is based at our facilities in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. The successful candidate(s) will be required to travel to worksites to perform quality audits, manage field staff, and to assist with complex projects. Regular travel to the Cambridge office is also required.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

The Equipment Manager is a key role that is responsible for new equipment development and management, generally responsible for the coordination, receipt, and QA/QC of all new equipment investments being delivered to the company. The Equipment Manager will apply their extensive experience of engineering and large corrective repairs to ensure that new equipment is inventoried, commissioned, and safely tested prior to operation. Upon deployment to the field, the Equipment Manager will also be responsible for pre-job training as well as training if the field, to ensure that technicians are fully-familiar with the technology. The successful candidate will deal extensively and maintain relationships with field personnel, shop staff, engineering personnel, and other office staff.

This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Required Education and Experience:

LOCATION:

This is a traveling position. The successful candidate(s) will travel extensively to worksites across the USA and Canada. Candidates can be based in either Canada or the continental USA, preferably close to a major airport.

POSITION OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Lead Technician is a field-based, customer-facing leadership role that provides large corrective repairs on wind turbines. This includes the complete replacement of wind turbine gearboxes, pitch bearings, main bearings, generators, yaw drives, and blades. In addition to providing corrective repairs to turbine equipment, the Lead Technician is an advanced trouble-shooter, specialized in both hydraulic and electrical systems. The Lead Technician is experienced with signalling cranes, and installs, operates, maintains, and mobilizes specialized up-tower lifting devices at customer sites. The successful candidate will establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.

This position reports to the Project Manager, with daily project reporting to the Major Corrective Supervisor. If the Major Corrective Supervisor is not present at site, the Lead Technician is responsible for operational activities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

– Minimum high school diploma.
– 3-10 years of field service experience is required, performing operations, maintenance, and/or corrective repairs on Siemens, General Electric, or Vestas turbines.
– Strong communication skills.
– A minimum of 3 years’ experience in supervising teams.
– Seasoned trouble-shooter, experienced with various electrical systems and hydraulic systems in wind turbines.
– Must be proficient in the use of tools and specialized equipment.
– A Liftra CO1+ certificate is a tremendous asset, but is not required.
– Valid driver’s license and good driving record required. A commercial truck driver’s license will be an asset, although not required.
– Experienced with signalling cranes.
– Must be able to work both individually and in an established team setting.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

The Crane Operator is a field-based, customer-facing role that performs large corrective repairs on wind turbines. This includes the complete replacement of wind turbine gearboxes, main shafts, generators, and blade bearings.  The Crane Operator will operate telescopic cranes, mainly during wind turbine repairs which involve lifting wind turbine blades, rotors, and generators.  Driving cranes and tractor-trailers between jobs sites is required.  The successful candidate will also be required to perform standard rigging operations, tag lining, and ground work.  The Crane Operator will establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.

This position reports to the Project Manager, with daily project reporting to the Major Corrective Supervisor.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • 5-15 years of field service experience is required. Previous experience performing crane lifts on wind turbines will be a tremendous asset.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • American applicants will require an NCCO hoisting license for mobile all-terrain or truck cranes.
  • Canadian applicants will require a 339A hoisting license, based in Ontario.
  • All applicants must have a commercial driver’s license (CDL, Class 1, or AZ).
  • Must be mechanically-inclined, with a solid knowledge of rigging activities, and an ability to troubleshoot in the field.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
  • Must be able to work both individually and in an established team setting.
  • Willing to work different shifts as business needs dictate, including willingness to work long shifts as required.

This person will be responsible for driving our highly-specialized equipment to site, setting up the work site, assisting in all rigging activities, and providing ground support for major component replacements. The successful candidate will establish and maintain positive business relationships with customers and peers, as well as diligently performing necessary administrative duties.

This position reports to the Project Manager, with daily project reporting to the Major Corrective Supervisor.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Minimum high school diploma.
  • 2-5 years of driving and/or rigging experience is preferred.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

The Design Engineer is an office-based role that is responsible for day-to-day engineering activities, generally relating to project planning, mechanical design, tooling, and logistics to ensure that each project is executed to the highest possible standard. The Design Engineer will apply engineering knowledge and engineering judgement to ensure designs are safe, reliable, and effective. The successful candidate will establish and maintain relationships with other engineering staff, field personnel, shop staff, and other office staff.

This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

– Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering 
– Specific skills related to cranes, welded and formed steel structures, aluminum structures, machining, heavy equipment, hydraulics, electronics and controls, as it relates to engineering and operations are an asset
– 3-7 years of relevant design experience is required. Previous experience working with cranes or other complex weldments is not absolutely required, but will be a tremendous asset.
– Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) is preferred but not absolutely required.
– Valid driver’s license (class G or equivalent) and good driving record required.
– Must be able to work both individually and in an established team setting.
– Hands-on experience working with tools, machinery, heavy equipment, or vehicles, at a professional or hobby level is an asset
