Job Description: Shop Technician (full-time) 

Location:  This position is based at our facilities in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.  From time to time, the successful candidate(s) may be required to travel to worksites in order to troubleshoot or deliver equipment, and to perform remote repairs.   

Position Overview and Responsibilities: 

The Shop Technician is a workshop-based role focused on both proactive and reactive repairs and maintenance of the company’s diverse equipment assets. This includes maintaining Liftra cranes, RotorHook™, GenHook™, Heli-Hook™ cranes, Liebherr cranes, tractor-trailers, and other heavy equipment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate closely with field personnel, shop staff, and office staff to ensure seamless operations and effective communication. 
  • Perform necessary administrative duties to support the maintenance and repair processes. 
  • Foster strong relationships within the team to enhance teamwork and collaboration. 

This position reports to the Shop Manager. 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: 

  • Bring your 2-5 years of relevant experience in mechanics, millwrighting, machining, and/or welding to our team. Experience with cranes or wind turbines is a plus, but not required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis, with a key focus on the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and the enhancement of downstream financial reporting capabilities. This role requires a strategic mindset, hands-on involvement with the ERP system transition, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that financial reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with business objectives.

ERP Implementation and Integration:

  • Lead the financial implementation of the new ERP system, collaborating with IT, accounting, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless integration across financial systems.
  • Define and document financial processes, mapping them to the ERP system to improve automation, efficiency, and data accuracy
  • Work closely with the ERP implementation team to customize financial modules, ensuring they meet the needs of FP&A and downstream reporting requirements.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA a plus).
  • 5+ years of FP&A experience, with at least 2 years in a private equity-backed environment or a similarly fast-paced, growth-oriented company.
  • Proven experience with ERP system implementation, optimization, and integration (experience with systems like NetSuite, Dynamics is a plus).
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Expertise in Excel and financial reporting tools; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

The Project Engineer is primarily an office-based role that is responsible for day-to-day engineering activities, generally relating to the creation of operations documentation (lift plans, work procedures, etc.), mechanical design, and logistics, with the goal of optimizing operational processes. Regular travelling to worksites across North America is a requirement where the Project Engineer is responsible for activities relating to work procedure creation, work procedure evaluation, equipment commissioning and equipment testing.

The Project Engineer will apply engineering knowledge and engineering judgement to ensure documents are accurate, reliable and presentable and to ensure designs are safe, reliable, and effective. The Project Manager will apply their extensive experience of large corrective repairs to ensure that all projects performed in a safe and cost-effective manner, with the highest degree of quality. The successful candidate will deal extensively and maintain relationships with customers, field personnel, shop staff, engineering personnel, and other office staff.

This position reports to the Operations Manager.

– 5-10 years of experience in wind energy O&M industry, specifically related to cranes, logistics, wind turbine major corrective repairs, as it relates to Field Work, Operations, and Planning
