Glen, a professional mechanical engineer, has 30 years of experience in the wind energy and heavy-lift industries. Prior to co-founding LiftWerx in early 2016, Glen worked for 23 years in various engineering, sales, and management positions at Mammoet, a global engineered lifting company, with primary activities focused in Canada, the USA, and the Netherlands, while supporting sales, engineering, and innovation activities in Europe, the Middle East, North America, Latin America, and the Far East. While working within this company, Glen mainly focused on growing the business in the power, oil & gas, civil, mining, and marine sectors, with a focus on specialized lifting and heavy transport, and his engineering knowledge and sales initiatives helped grow the Canadian organization from ten employees in the early 1990s to over 1,500 employees, with annual revenues in Canada increasing from $5 million to $600 million over the same period. Glen’s strong experience in lifting and transport engineering, project sales, and innovation have established LiftWerx as one of the most innovative and highly-specialized contractors in the global wind energy industry.
Joshua co-founded LiftWerx in 2016 bringing together his expertise in the realms of legal, risk management and general business experience. Joshua holds both an Honours Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. After practicing law, Joshua joined Mammoet, a global leader in the heavy lifting and transportation industry as their in-house counsel. Joshua began, grew and led their in-house legal and risk management divisions within Canada and supported operations in the United States and overseas. He also acted as Safety Director and as an advisor to the Board of Management where he advised on complex issues including mergers and acquisitions, financing arrangements, first nation agreements, and general business strategy. Joshua brings a depth of knowledge and innovative thinking to LiftWerx that drives both new business development and strategic direction.
Jeff is a strong operations leader, with a comprehensive background in specialized complex logistics, resource planning, and heavy-lift activities. Prior to joining LiftWerx in 2019, Jeff worked for 25 years at Mammoet, a global leader in the heavy-lift industry. Originally trained as a crane operator, Jeff advanced quickly into one of the company’s most specialized and respected operators, eventually becoming the Operations Director for Mammoet’s sales region in eastern Canada and the northeast USA. Jeff has extensive global experience in high-risk heavy-lift operations, with a strong focus on the energy sector. Jeff’s strong leadership style and operational experience is a tremendous asset to Liftwerx.
Sarah is a true Human Resources leader, whose career objectives are to continually learn, be challenged, and most importantly, make a difference in the way employees view and interact with their HR partners. Sarah joined Liftwerx in 2024 after an impressive career in the manufacturing sector, where she worked as a senior HR executive for global technology companies including Blackberry and Automated Tooling Systems (ATS). Sarah holds a communications degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as a diploma in Human Resources Management from Conestoga College.
A seasoned EH&S veteran, Melissa is a Business Resiliency Leader with over 15 years of experience developing innovative programs that successfully reduce risk to organizations, people, and our planet. Throughout her career, Melissa has built and implemented safety management systems, risk assessment strategies, behavioral safety programs, corporate sustainability initiatives, wellness programs, training programs, audits, continuous improvement plans, and compliance measures, all with the goal of to improving safety performance. Prior to joining LiftWerx in 2025, Melissa led EH&S teams at QM Environmental, IMAX, Vopak, and McNally Construction. Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Carleton University.
A professional mechanical engineer, Ian is responsible for leading our engineering, procurement, and continuous improvement functions. A veteran of the wind energy industry, he possesses a broad understanding of wind turbines, key supplier relationships, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. After a 15-year career with Enbridge, where he managed the company’s wind energy portfolio, Ian joined Algonquin Power in 2018 in the position of Vice-President, Operations. Over the years, the company re-branded to Liberty Power and again to ClearLight Energy, where Ian held the role of Sr. Vice-President, Operations, respectfully leading a workforce of over 100 people. During his tenure at Algonquin / Liberty / ClearLight, Ian has been also responsible for the operational management of the company’s wind energy assets, including the overseeing of the company’s power purchase agreements, service maintenance agreements, insurance claims, property tax, contractual third-party operating committees, and warranties.
Alex is an experienced finance executive with a demonstrated history of leading and developing successful teams of professionals. With a strong background in accounting, analytics, budgeting, and forecasting, Alex is a Chartered Professional Accountant, holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor. Prior to joining LiftWerx in the position of CFO, Alex held several financial roles in the manufacturing sector, for esteemed companies including Element5, Icynene, and CGC.
With a strong background in both mechanical engineering and industrial sales, Peter is responsible for LiftWerx’s sales, contracting, and account management. The youngest member of LiftWerx’s senior management team, Peter possesses an impressive amount of experience in the wind energy industry, with a deep specialization in the niche market of crane-less O&M. Peter holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Scott is a seasoned wind energy professional with broad experience in business development, sales, and asset management. With a deep specialization in the renewable energy sectors, and possessing experience as an asset Owner, ISP, EPC, and OEM, Scott relates to a wide variety of stakeholders, while building strategic relationships and navigating complex challenges to deliver against organizational goals. Scott possesses an honours bachelor’s degree from McMaster University, and prior to joining the LiftWerx team, Scott worked at impressive wind energy companies including General Electric, Cordelio Power, Worley, and the Summerhill Group.
Alex is a seasoned private equity professional with global deal experience across Growth, PE, and Impact Investing. With a strong background in finance and intellectual property, Alex presently holds the position of Head of TowerBrook Delta (an Impact Investing Growth fund), as well as the Green Industries vertical (Climate, Sustainability, Energy Transition, CleanTech) in North America.
An associate at TowerBrook Capital Partners, Bill is an impressive financial analyst. The newest board member at LiftWerx, Bill was appointed to the board of LiftWerx in early 2025. A graduate of the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, Bill holds a finance degree from the New York University (NYU).
John is a highly experienced Private Equity Chairman, Board member, and Operating Partner. A veteran of the wind energy industry, John has an outstanding track record of working with management teams to create value through organic growth, buy and build, business transformations and turnarounds in Energy transformation, Industrials, Services, FMCG and Healthcare sectors. Prior to his appointment as the Chairman of LiftWerx, John has also chaired several other businesses in the renewable energy industry, including LM Windpower, Envevo, GEV Wind Power, and the JSM Group.
A longtime veteran of the global heavy-lift industry, Roderik held the position of CEO of Mammoet between 2005 and 2011. Based in the Netherlands, Mammoet is a global leader in the heavy lifting and transportation industry. Under Roderik’s leadership, Mammoet experienced phenomenal growth in both turnover and profitability, a direct result of Roderik’s focus on operational excellence in combination with employee satisfaction. Since 2012, Roderik has held the top management position for the Meemaken Group of Companies, headquartered in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
