LiftWerx is thrilled to announce that our company is the first in the world to develop heavy-lift technology which can lower a fully-assembled wind turbine rotor with a single crane, mounted in a wind turbine nacelle. This is the first time that this has been done for a large turbine in the 2MW+ range, and this technology is easily adaptable to large turbines up to 8MW or more.
These photos, taken with a public webcam, illustrate the first rotor lift performed by this RotorHook™ crane. The lift was performed today between 11am and 11:30am local time, at a turbine site near Boulder, Colorado.
