LiftWerx is pleased to announce that after successful production and testing in the Netherlands, its first RotorHook™ crane has arrived in North America.
The RotorHook™ is by far the most powerful up-tower crane in the world, with a load-moment capacity which is nearly three times higher than any other up-tower crane in the global market.
The crane is designed to lower an entire rotor from the nacelle, eliminating the need to mobilize expensive crawler cranes and other large cranes which are normally required for the exchange of main bearings and main shafts from wind turbines.
This tiny crane system, which can do the same lifting work as a 600-tonne lattice-boom crane, fits into three standard ISO containers.
