We are excited to embark into 2019 with the release of a brand new crane: the LiftWerx BoxHook™. This crane, which is designed for larger wind turbines in the 3MW to 8MW range, offers a lifting capacity of up to 100 tonnes, depending on the customer’s requirements. Mounted at tower heights up to 175 meters, this is a exciting new development which will drive down repair costs for both onshore and offshore turbines. The BoxHook™ crane is easy to assemble using one of LiftWerx’s GenHook™ cranes, which can be seen in the background of this image. Once mounted, the BoxHook™ can perform corrective repairs for gearboxes, generators, transformers, and other major components. Why use an expensive jackup crane vessel to perform these repairs, when a tiny up-tower crane will do the job? Please contact our team of experienced professionals if you are interested in alternative lifting solutions for your wind turbine fleet, either onshore or offshore.
