Job Description:

Project Manager (full-time)

Location:

This position is largely based at our facilities in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. From time to time, the successful candidate(s) may be required to travel to visit job sites across North America.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

The Project Manager is an office-based role that is responsible for day-to-day project activities, generally relating to project planning and execution, team management, tooling, purchasing and reporting, and project logistics to ensure that external and internal projects are executed to the highest possible standard.  The successful candidate will be fully responsible to manage the day-to-day activities of one or more large corrective teams, inclusive of safety, quality, operational, and financial performance.  The Project Manager is a key customer-facing role, and internally, it is also required to maintain excellent relationships with engineering staff, field personnel, shop staff, and other office staff.

This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in wind energy O&M industry, specifically related to cranes, logistics, wind turbine major corrective repairs, as it relates to Field Work, Operations, and Planning
  • Wind Energy Technician Diploma or Engineering degree
  • GWO Certified
  • Proficient with MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Up-Tower Crane Certification is highly desirable
  • Wind Turbine Corrective Repairs, advanced understanding
  • Project Documentation, advanced understanding
  • Tooling for Corrective Repairs, advanced understanding
  • Personnel & Equipment Planning, advanced understanding
  • Transport & logistics, basic understanding
  • Financial skills (revenue, expenditures, profit & loss), basic understanding
  • English, fluent proficiency verbal and written

Class G Driver’s license or equivalent
