Job Description:

Fleet Manager (full-time)


This position is based at our facilities in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. From time to time, the successful candidate(s) may be required to travel to visit suppliers and job sites.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

The Fleet Manager is an office-based role that is responsible for day-to-day fleet management activities, generally relating to project planning, equipment maintenance, fleet adminstration, and logistics, to ensure that external and internal projects are executed to the highest possible standard. The Fleet Manager will apply industry knowledge and judgement to organize repairs, manage fleet software and fuel cards, manage vehicle titles and insurance, manage GPS tracking, and track the fleet’s utilization across North America.  The successful candidate will pro-actively manage and report on operational performance of the fleet, such as life-cycle management, fuel consumption, analysis of operational and maintenance repair costs, and provide expert recommendations.

This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience related to trucking and logistics, as it relates to vehicle maintenance, operations, and planning
  • 310T and/or truck and coach certification is preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint, etc.)
  • Customer-Focused Mindset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of driving, vehicle maintenance, and other industry-specific best practices
  • Exceptional organization, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Equipment Planning, basic understanding
  • Transport & logistics, advanced understanding
  • Financial skills (revenue, expenditures, profit & loss), basic understanding
  • English, fluent proficiency verbal and written
  • Commercial Driver’s license (Class A or equivalent)
