Job Description:

Equipment Manager (full-time)

Location:

This position is based at our facilities in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. The successful candidate(s) will be required to travel to worksites to perform quality audits, manage field staff, and to assist with complex projects. Regular travel to the Cambridge office is also required.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

The Equipment Manager is a key role that is responsible for new equipment development and management, generally responsible for the coordination, receipt, and QA/QC of all new equipment investments being delivered to the company. The Equipment Manager will apply their extensive experience of engineering and large corrective repairs to ensure that new equipment is inventoried, commissioned, and safely tested prior to operation. Upon deployment to the field, the Equipment Manager will also be responsible for pre-job training as well as training if the field, to ensure that technicians are fully-familiar with the technology. The successful candidate will deal extensively and maintain relationships with field personnel, shop staff, engineering personnel, and other office staff.

This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Required Education and Experience:

– 2-5 years of broad experience in related industry, specifically related to cranes, logistics, transport, and equipment maintenance, as it relates to Field Work, Operations, and Planning
– 2-5 years of experience in working with related groups with respect to Engineering, Field Operations, and Product Development
– Forklift, Overhead Crane, and Rigging Experience

Required Knowledge/Skills

– Equipment documentation and administration, advanced understanding
– GWO Certified
– Equipment documentation and administration, advanced understanding
– Engineering degree or equivalent diploma
– Steel fabrication, basic understanding
– Tooling and work processes for large corrective repairs, advanced understanding
– English, fluent proficiency verbal and written
– Inventory control, advanced understanding
– Microsoft Office programs and business software, advanced understanding
– Transport & logistics, basic understanding
– Up-tower crane systems, advanced understanding
