Only 18 months ago, we had our first visions of performing single blade lifts using up-tower cranes. Today, LiftWerx is thrilled to announce that it has successfully designed, tested, and launched new BladeHook™ technology which enables single blades to be exchanged using a tiny lifting device mounted in a wind turbine nacelle.
Our BladeHook™ technology is very simple, and avoids the need for expensive and complex blade clampers to lift the blade.
Today we performed our seventh blade lift, and it was completed in a record time of only four hours. We would like to thank our great site team and our fantastic customer for making this vision a new reality!
